High School Stats:

Jordan-Williams had 18 receptions for 525 yards and eight touchdowns this past season at Christian Brothers Academy.  For those keeping track at home, that’s an average of just under 30 yards per reception and a touchdown scored 44% of the time he catches the ball.  He’s yet another former state champion in this year’s class and was named second team all-state by USA Today this year.  ESPN rates him as the 10th best receiver in New York.

Addazio’s Take:

“Noah is a big, physical wide receiver, extremely athletic. He has those real big strong hands. That guy is going to catch the football. Really, really tremendous athlete, teammate of John Phillips who is on our team right now.”

Jordan-Williams on Commitment:

“I chose Boston College because I wanted the best education possible and I wanted to play at the top divisional level.”

Our Take:

It’s certainly refreshing to see the Eagles coaching staff put an emphasis on the wide receiver position in recruiting.  Results look pretty good from here, as Jordan-Williams is just one of three big bodied, athletic receivers in the class.  NJW was a deep threat at Christian Brothers Academy this past year, but will that transfer to Boston College?  The curious thing about it is Jordan-Williams was clocked at a mere 4.74 40-time; not exactly the typical speed of a deep threat.  With classmate Caleb Stoneburner coming in, a true-to-his-name burner with supposed 4.4 speed, Jordan-Williams will likely move to a more interior role.  He’s definitely got the frame for it, and according to Scout.com and the eye test of the video above, he does an excellent job of catching in traffic and high-pointing the ball.  The biggest area he’ll need to develop is his ability to beat jams and get separation.  If he’s able to improve with that, he could prove to be a very nice addition in the X-receiver position.
