Class of 2017 Forward Vin Baker Jr. has committed to join the Boston College Eagles. Ranked by MaxPreps as the 26th ranked player in the state of Connecticut, Baker is 6’9″ and had previously committed to Bryant University but after growing 5 inches has decided to take his talents to the Heights.

Coming out of Old Saylock, Baker is the son of former NBA player Vin Baker Sr. who played many seasons with the Seattle Supersonics as well as the Boston Celtics, among others. With a late growth spurt, hopefully the younger Baker can use his guard skills in his new body and dominate in the vein of his old man.

This is the Eagles 2nd commitment this month, following guard Avery Wilson’s decision. The Eagles still have a couple scholarship spots to fill for next season.
