High School Stats:

Perry was a four-year starter at quarterback for his father, head coach E.J. Perry III at Andover High School. By his senior year he cemented his name in various record books, both at his school and in the state. He tied the Massachusetts state record for single-season touchdown passes with 47 as a senior, which he shares with Troy Flutie. Additionally, his 114 career touchdown passes rank second in state history, and his career total of 8,712 passing yards are second all-time in state history. Boston Globe named him the Division 1 Player of the Year as a senior.

Addazio’s Take:

“He’s an unbelievable competitor. You talk about it; you saw it all over him. He throws the ball extremely well. He’s a real gym rat, football guy.”

Perry on Commitment:

“Excited to officially announce that I am committing to play football at Boston College.”

Our Take:

Perry dominated Massachusetts football, so let’s hope he can translate his success to the Division 1 level. He’ll definitely have time to grow and mature, and it helps that he’s coming in as a midyear so he’ll be able to adjust to the speed of college football. It seems like he can really air it out, so we’re excited to see him progress and make the most of his opportunity at BC.  With Towles gone, there will be plenty of opportunity and competition at the QB position.
