BREAKING: Oliver Wahlstrom is staying at BC

By JD Biagioni

After speculation on Thanksgiving that freshman forward Oliver Wahlstrom would be leaving Boston College for the Trip-City Storm of the USHL, it was confirmed that he was in fact staying at BC, as reported by Mark Divver of The Providence Journal.

The move wouldn’t be unheard of, as other prospects have left their college programs early for junior programs. Kieffer Bellows, drafted by the Islanders like Wahlstrom, left Boston University after 34 games with the Terriers in 2017 to join Portland of the WHL.

BC put an end to the speculation with this Tweet Friday:

Wahlstrom has 2 goals and 0 assists in 9 games for BC thus far. He will suit up Friday against Bentley ahead of BC’s home-and-home with BU.
